Dharma Bum Blues- A Poem for Jack Kerouac

Oh Jackie boy

Listen to the waves-

Ckeawassh ckreakash

Seafarin legs to walk

The ol dharma walk through skidrow

 A Desolate angel burning bottles

And broke!

Chi ching chi ching! ckreashaskh!

A  ol wee bum climbin up an endless mountain

To find a peak that once belonged to a hip Chinese hermit

Some 1000 years back

Creeashash creasshkash-

Coming in on the tide, emeralds of seafoam

And conch shells whistling jazz in seedly dives

Bliss! Bliss! Everything! Everywhere

Kerraasplash kerpallash!

An ocean of infinity always waiting
